The Media That Matters Film Festival brings innovative shorts
and take action tools to audiences around the country, all year
long. Every year, 16 jury-selected films by independent and youth

Prizes include the Golden Starfish Award for Fiction Feature (over

and short film ($5,000). Other awards include the Alfred P. Sloan
Foundation Feature Film Prize in Science and Technology ($25,000),
The Kodak Award for Best Cinematographer ($6,000 in-kind), the Zicherman
